A calculator that shows three percentage results on one screen as you type: discount, share and change. Enter a price and discount rate to get the final price and amount saved; a part and a total to get the percentage; and a before and after value to see how many percent it rose or fell. Use it for shopping discounts, budget shares and price or sales changes. Everything is calculated in your browser.
The three panels compute the same relationship from different directions. Discount: saving = price × rate ÷ 100 and final = price − saving, rounded to whole units. Share: part ÷ total × 100, shown to two decimals. Change: (after − before) ÷ before × 100, shown in red with the rise or blue with the drop. For example, 15% off 49,000 saves 7,350 and leaves 41,650 to pay. If the same 49,000 item costs 53,900 next month, (53,900 − 49,000) ÷ 49,000 × 100 = +10%. An empty field counts as 0.
70% of the price. On 50,000 the saving is 15,000 and you pay 35,000. Enter 50000 and 30 in the discount panel to see it.
No. 100 → 150 → 75. The fall is measured from the larger value of 150, so it ends 25% lower.
Multiply by 1.1 to add and divide by 1.1 to remove. Removing it from 11,000 gives 10,000; multiplying by 0.9 gives 9,900, which is wrong.
The difference between two percentages. Support rising from 40% to 45% is up 5 points, or 12.5% as a change. News reports often mix the two.
